Biography:
I am originally from Lubbock, Texas and relocated to the North Texas area 20 years ago. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology (1995) and a Master of Science in Sports Health (1997) from Texas Tech University. I obtained my Exercise Specialist certification from the American College of Sports Medicine and worked as an exercise physiologist in cardiac rehabilitation for 6 years before returning to graduate school to pursue a degree in Physician Assistant Studies. I graduated in 2004 with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. For the first 8-1/2 years of my career as a PA, I worked in women's health, with 2 years in gynecologic oncology and 6-1/2 years in obstetrics and gynecology. In February 2013 I transitioned to family practice.
